STORY
Bea, a young woman struggling to cope with life’s hardships and her own inner turmoil is determined to end her life in a clean and painless way, which leads her to a party store to buy a helium tank. There, she meets Lee, a party store clerk who remembers her from a single past visit. Through awkward lunches and uneasy conversations about death and balloons, an unexpected friendship forms—one that makes Bea begin to question whether life is worth living after all.
She is not suicidal, she just wants to die and thinks that’s a very normal thought to have. She is neurotic, sassy, pessimistic and sees the worst in the world. Also, she has just made a purchase that can guarantee a painless, clean, classy death for her if she so chooses.

A happy-go-lucky, charismatic guy who doesn’t let bad things get to him. A party store employee who remembers her from a single visit months ago, Lee injects unexpected warmth into her bleak worldview. You want to hate him so bad—and so does Bea—but you can’t.
